“Fear of the unknown and uncertainty - My own words would fail me. My reality was worst than a bad dream”.

The above words will be familiar to many. Why do I keep bringing this up? Because I never want to normalize the acceptance of what’s “not right”. Changes happen, but only when you find the courage to take the first step towards making that change. If I can do it, so can you. But give yourself the time to know what makes you happy.

I made a promise to myself to do what I love doing. My Creator showed me an unimaginable path. “And what blessings of your Lord will you deny?”

I’m on a mission to rebuild milestones and document memories. I booked my first professional photo shoot with Ruth Plumb.
She understood my passion for my work and used my one of kind dupatta as a backdrop to mark my healing journey.

To everyone out there fighting their battles, it does get better. It’s not easy but choose a change that will give you peace of mind. How do you make that choice? An audit of the inventory of your own experiences is called Muhasiba in Urdu. Make “muhasiba/self reflection” a constant. Today I know that whatever happened, only happened so I learnt how to choose myself. I’ve understood that the only person responsible for my own happiness is me.

“With every hardship, there is ease”.
Focus on your blessings and see how things change.

Thank you Ruth for this wonderful capture.
