Hand Embellished Dupattas
They say, save the best for last. To me, Aqeeq is the kindest stone. Carnelian and Onyx are names of Aqeeq in English. To me,
gem stone rings are equivalent to wearing nature on your finger.
I’ve been told that the stone wards off negative energy around you. I’ve worn the stone off and on for over 20 years. Since the last two years, I wear it all the time. Now that I reflect, many times, the stone of my ring would pop off without any apparent reason. I believe it was a consequence of the stone taking away all the bad vibes sent towards me.
The stone is commonly found in shades of brown, maroon and yellow. My own favourite aqeeq ring is a maroon with crown of ferozi. The one that I wear consistently has changed colour from a pale yellow to a burnt mustard.
Allah showed me a way to create a wardrobe that I loved and He also showed me ways to share what I like with the rest of the world.
Length: 3 yards with hand hemmed borders and appliqué.
Material: Assorted Gota with a mix of cotton threads, sitara based on Georgette dupatta as base with gold motifs.
All the embroidery and finishing is done by hand and the same design cannot be recreated.
