Home is where the heart is. Losing home has been my biggest vulnerability. I struggle to detach from places I believed were my home. Today, I understand the sentiment attached to the word “home country” and know that my home is within my heart.
It was dream come true to get commissioned a piece that “Screams of Pakistan”. Unfortunately I can’t visit Pakistan. I mixed mediums that represent vibrance, defining the rich textile and cultural heritage. The pairing gold and silver with the brightest colours to channel the happiness, that is Pakistan.
The Chaand Sitara dupatta signifies the resilience in our nation and holds many homes in different shapes and forms. Imperfect but absolutely perfect. No matter how much you want Pakistan to change, we all love it in our own ways.
Yours! Mine! Ours! Pakistan Zindabad💚
Love,
Amna Nawab
