Maps and stories❤️
Ever since childhood, fairytales have fascinated me. As I was grew older, I loved hearing migration stories from my grand parents between India and Pakistan at the time of partition (1947). The rich tales took me back into their time. This is how I connected with my ancestors and built the strongest bond. My grand parents told me of their journey from India to Pakistan as a glorious tale. Their stories made me see a life, very different to mine. Over the years, I realized they were the best story tellers as they concealed painful memories in stories of Hope and Belief.
My arrival to the “map” was on April Fool’s Day. I was born in Wah Cantt. Wah houses our ancestral home and holds great memories. My fondest memories of Wah Cantt are all around my sweet Dadi Amma❤️. She was the light that held us all together. Although we lived in Islamabad, all our weekends were spent at Wah, that houses our ancestral home and holds great memories.

Whatever said and done, you can’t take the Pakistan in you, away from you. In all the darkness that looms over the discussions about Pakistan, the Naqsha tshirt is my happy hope for homeland. I hope you enjoy wearing this burst of colour as much as I did?
I landed on the map in Wah Cantt, share your location as well with the Naqsha tshirt.
Love,
